Julio Cesar has been steadily involved in the hair and beauty industry in some way or another since he was a young boy back home in Colombia, South America. He used to volunteer and assistant with the overly glamorous Beauty Pageant scene there year after year until he left for the USA to pursue his dreams further.
After coming to the United States at the very young age of 16, he set out on a well planned path toward his dream of becoming a successful Hair Designer with only a burning determination and an unwavering passion to succeed.
And so, many years later after working his way up through the creativity ranks at several top salons in the Atlanta area, he and his Salon & Spa have emerged as a successful and prestigious duo on the Beauty Scene in Atlanta. He attributes his drive and success mostly to his mother’s love, encouragement, and undying belief in his talent.
Julio Cesar’s passion for education and motivation to be the best has resulted in a well rounded portfolio of international and local education as well as specialized hands- on experience in custom cutting and coloring.
He has had the privilege to travel abroad for exclusive education at the Keune Institute in Amsterdam, Holland where he was certified as a Master Colorist and Hair Designer. He has also sought educational study and various certifications with Wella International, Schwarzkopf, Phytologie, Bumble & Bumble N.Y., Paul Mitchell Color, American Crew-ATL, Vidal Sassoon Academy, Redken Academy, and last, but certainly not least - L’Oreal Soho Academy, New York.
Julio Cesar’s exceptional understanding of color concepts and hair cutting techniques combined with his thirst for education naturally led him to the next level, which was to join the L’Oreal-USA team as a specialized educator called a L’Oreal Professionnel Design Artist (LPDA). As a “LPDA” he travels around to other L’Oreal Salons in his region of the US and neighboring countries to teach the latest techniques and designs direct from the European Fashion Capital of Paris.
On a more personal note, Julio Cesar co-founded a Colombian Folkloric Dance Group in Atlanta about 19 years ago which travels around Georgia and the surrounding states performing at public festivals and personal functions. So, in what little spare time he has available personally, he is also a dance instructor, choreographer, and seamstress for the love of his former country of Colombia.
